POD Or Mover?: How To Decide

PODS or Portable On Demand Storage has many uses and depending on your needs may be the perfect solution for you. They have been used as a temporary storage while a home is being renovated and they also allow you to move yourself without arguably having to experience the worst part of moving which is the travel to your new home, especially if you are going across the country. PODS aren't always the best decision when it comes to your relocation though, as they can pose just as many challenges as they can benefits.

Your Guide to Summer Moving

Posted by Mark Machesky on May 31, 2015 6:26:30 AM

Everyone wants to move during the summer and warmer months. For anyone who has experienced New England winters, it is not hard to understand why. Moving through two feet of snow seems fun to no one, and the housing market is really at its peak during the summer months (Although there is a great argument as to why you should sell your home in the winter here).

Regardless, the reality is the demand for moving services is high during the summer months and this not only drives up prices but also reduces availability. There are steps you can take to avoid not being able to get the exact day you want to move, as well as save money.

Understanding Moving Insurance

Posted by Mark Machesky on Apr 10, 2015 10:34:00 AM

If you have ever used a professional moving service before, you probably are somewhat familiar with the insurance options that are available to you. A good moving consultant will be able to explain the different options you have for insuring your possessions and will be able to explain to you both the advantages and disadvantages of each option. Not every insurance option is right for everyone, so it is important when hiring a professional mover to understand the different options available to you. Remember, no matter how much insurance you do or do not have, it is always a great idea when moving to use proper packing materials.

No Help From Yelp

When choosing a moving company in Boston, how do you know which one to choose?

The best way to find a mover is through friends. You know them, you trust them, and they are comfortable enough with you to share their true experiences when using a moving company. Also, if you are a pleasant person, they wouldn't want to lose you as a friend by referring a horrible company to you.

Finding the right Boston Moving Company

Why Eagle Lines should be your Boston Mover

Finding the best Boston mover in the area can be difficult. There are so many choices to choose from, it is hard to separate the companies that are honest and reputable from the companies that should be avoided. There are of course customer review sites available to help aid you in your choice, however many of these websites are unreliable due to a lack of accountability. Some reviews you'll see on Yelp for example, come from individuals who never moved with the company in the first place! Because of this, the best resources available when choosing a moving company are accredited sources like the Better Business Bureau and determining whether or not your Boston mover is fully licensed and insured.

Below are some of the top reasons why Eagle Lines makes for a great Boston mover.
